Desert Rose Key Elements  of Wellness

Using ancient yogic techniques as well as other movement practices; we can calm the mind, quell anxiety, learn mindfulness, process grief, and spend some time on self-care.

Meditation

Through meditation, we gain confidence, clarity, and the practice of mindfulness.  Some modalities of meditation can give you the equivalent of a few hours of actual sleep!

Yoga + Movement

Movement is important to healing trauma, as we move our bones and muscles in different ways, it creates new chemical reactions that clear out toxins that include residual emotions. Movement makes us feel alive, it provides feeling in the body which leads to greater awareness and presence. It helps us discharge pent up energy and makes our minds and bodies more calm and regulated.

Breath

Our breath can be a grounding and calming force.  It connects us to the outside world.  We breathe the same air a storm does.  Yoga teaches us how to manipulate our breath and harness the wind’s strength.

I am fiercely committed to guiding post 9/11 combat Veterans to achieve post-traumatic growth, so they can navigate the challenges of integrating into home-life and take control of their own healing process.

If you are looking for a guide who can help you address issues such as healing from a TBI, PTS symptoms, moral injury, or any other trauma-related symptoms, you’ve come to the right place.

With 5 years of experience working with amazing clients with similar worries and concerns and guiding them to achieve remarkable success, my mission and commitment are to support veterans and their families and offer new tools and new ways of thinking about how to achieve the highest quality of life possible.
